The Costa Blanca is easily accessible by car or by plane. By car it is approximately 2000 km from the UK and can be easily driven in two days. In the end, your journey starts as soon as you leave your house.
Travelling to the Costa Blanca
Whether you start you holiday by travelling by car or by plane, both have benefits. Travelling by car certainly has the benefit of seeing more of the villages, big cities, nature and beaches along the way. Especially the beautiful French landscape, which invites for cosy stops. The journey will take around two days: the first being the 1300 km ride to the French-Spanish border Perpignan and the next day the 700km ride to Alicante, where you will arrive in the afternoon. Another benefit of travelling by car is having your own car at hand and not having to pay additional costs for renting a car.
Of course, travelling by plane is faster, and cheaper with two passengers.
From the UK you have a lot of low-cost airlines that offer cheap flights to the Alicante airport. From here you can pick up your car if you have previously booked one via the internet or you can let us at CasaLasDunas arrange a car for you beforehand. Our Tip: Book based on a one-way trip to and from Alicante since this is often cheaper, even with times of arrival and departure.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Upon arrival you must pay with Credit Card, since the car rental companies do not accept cash. If you rent through our rental organization, you can pay both by credit card and cash. The car will be ready in front of the arrival hall of the airport. This way you save yourself precious time by waiting again in line to pick up your car keys, which is usually the case with other car rental organisations on the internet.
