Tax authority takes action against illegal renting out

In the fight against the illegaly renting out of apartments and houses on tourists, tax authorities now also have a role to play.

Last week it was announced that a change of rules will be applied and that every rental house will soon be obliged by giving details of the official owner of the property.

Rental platforms on the Internet are also obliged to have information about each property they offer and the tax office is therefore able to see who is earning income through the rental of a property.

Although the hotels and the reported tourist apartments are going through a good year, the Valencian authorities estimate that 400,000 apartments which are currently rented in the province of Alicante, are all rented out illegally.

After two years in which the controls were tightened, it was achieved that more than thirty thousand new homes got registered as a tourist house.

CasaLasDunas rents only houses and apartments which are legally registered. You can check this on our homepage, there you find the respective license number for every rental property.
