Mercadillo is the Spanish word for market. In Spain, the weekly market is widely used, where you can get Spanish tapas in addition to clothing.

The Sunday market is also very popular. Each town has the weekly market on fixed days. These are usually found in the center of the village, unlike the Sunday markets, which are mostly outside the town or village. These cozy Sunday markets are also often much bigger and more crowded. The market usually closes around 14:00.
